Cao Min, play writer, director, lecturer, doctor, graduated from the Drama Literature Department, Drama Performing Department and Drama Directing Department of the Central Academy of Drama, participated in the playwriting and director of many stage plays, such as White Deer Plain, One Fine Day, Perhaps Love, The Peach Blossom Land, The Yellow Storm, etc.

导演阐述：
本剧根据南斯拉夫剧作家布兰尼斯拉夫·努希奇讽刺喜剧代表作《部长夫人》改编。民国年间小官僚之妻王英茹正为生计发愁，谁料丈夫竟官运亨通，荣升至某机要部门部长。于是，她便开始小人得志、作威作福，让穷亲戚们各个鸡犬升天，还强迫女儿换丈夫、还给自己找了个情人……最终她以桃色丑闻成为全城笑柄，于是她的夫人特权消失得无影无踪……
剧中人物的乖戾心态及一切丑行，都源于对权势的热衷与崇拜，从而导致了人性的“物化”与“异化”。在社会生活中仿佛有着一条可恶的线，由虚荣、庸俗、懦弱和精神上的低能所组成，让这条线之外的人们受着摧残和压抑。这条线或将长久隐秘地存在着，会让社会显得萎靡不振，会让其它人们爱莫能助。回到真实的生活中，我们在与丑恶搏斗中寻求人性之美。

Director's words：
This play is adapted from the satirical comedy “Wife of a Minister” by Yugoslav dramatist Branislav Nusie. During the period of the Republic of China, Wang Yingru, wife of a small official, has a hard life, suddenly her husband is promoted to the minister. So, she uses her privileges to take care of her relatives, forces her daughter to divorce, and finds a lover for herself. In the end she becomes the laughing stock of the whole city with the peachy scandal, and her privilege disappears.
All the ugly behaviors of the characters in the play stem from their enthusiasm and worship of power, which lead to the “materialization” and “alienation” of human nature. There seems to be an abominable line in social life, composed of vanity, vulgarity, cowardice, and spiritual incompetence, leaving people outside this line tortured and suppressed. This line may exist in secret for a long time, which makes the society sluggish and other people helpless. Back in our real life, we seek the beauty of human nature in the struggle with the ugly.
